To develop an application that would help it channelize and search the loads of press releases that it receives every day and create a portal out of it. The portal needed to look like an online newspaper. The idea was to build this portal as a credible source of press releases world wide and further syndicate the news from this portal as a RSS news feed to other websites.

We researched a load of news sources that provide press releases in form of emails, custom APIs, fax and RSS and Atom feeds. An engine was built to handle and intelligently sort the news and build various specialized micro sites as channels for news from that industry. In a period of less than 3 months the site is now a busy portal catering to hundreds of thousands of visitors each week and with a repository of more than 200,000 press releases. Several search engines rank the portal as an important source for press releases.
